Single Sourcing with Arbortext
Join us on January 19th to find out more about Arbortext and its publishing capabilities. Do you spend too much time formatting documents manually? What about formatting for other outputs? Ever update redundant information? Spend too much $$$ on translation? According to an independent IDC survey, these are the top reasons that companies adopt Arbortext technology and they are seeing significant ROI.

STC's Transformation: A Conversation with Thea Teich
Join us on February 16th to learn more about STC's re-engineering efforts. Over the past three years, and more intensely over the past 12 months, STC’s board of directors has been working to transform the Society to an organization more responsive to the diverse and changing needs of its members and more able to take advantage of changing technology to meet those needs. The transformation is far from finished and far from concrete in its processes, but we are on the path. After months of members questioning "why transform," the queries are now of the "how" variety.
This discussion, led by STC Immediate Past President Thea Teich, will help you understand more about why and how STC is transforming. We will also discuss why and how STC will continue to be even more attractive to current and prospective members of the variety of occupations under the technical communication umbrella – professions that help people get the most from the technology in their lives.
Thea brings a wealth of knowledge to this discussion – from the industry and STC. For the past 30 years, Thea Teich has worked in the fields of technical and marketing communications for major industries, government agencies, and non-profit educational and research institutions. In 1995, she started Teich Technical and Marketing Communications, which offers technical and marketing communications services to clients ranging from software manufacturers to financial services.
Thea is currently the Immediate Past President of STC, she has served
as President of the Society (2003-2004), 1st Vice President (2003-2003),
2nd Vice President (2001-2002), Regional Director (1998-2001), Southwestern
Ohio chapter President (1993-1995), and in several other capacities
on the chapter level and on Society-level committees.
