Active members are the bedrock of our community. STC-SWO's member recognition program was implemented to reward members who actively participate in the chapter through meeting attendance, various volunteer activities, and chapter promotion. Members who qualify will automatically earn a custom STC-SWO polo shirt.
Eight types of activities qualify for points:
To promote participation, a maximum number of activities qualify toward the program. For example, there are eight meetings between September and April but members can earn a maximum of five points for meeting attendance, even if they attend all eight meetings. The goal is not to discourage meeting attendance but to encourage member participation in other areas. Most activities earn one point. Bring a guest and committee membership both earn two points.
Once members accrue at least eight points, they automatically earn the custom polo shirt that identifies them as an active STC-SWO member. The polo shirts, which cannot be bought, signify members' commitment to STC, our chapter, and their professional development.
