Chart Your Path to Career Success with SWO-STC’s Employment Workshop

Are you an experienced technical communicator exploring the possibility of new job or changing your career path? Are you new to the field and need some help getting started down the right path? SWO-STC's Employment Workshop will help you get oriented in the right direction, wherever you are in your career!

Our keynote speaker is Michael Lynch, a Career Transition Coach with Centennial, Inc. – a leading provider of strategic recruiting solutions in the Greater Cincinnati area. During the last fourteen years, Mike has successfully assisted hundreds of professionals to reach their career objectives. He is certified by the Career Planning and Adult Development Network as a Certified Job Search Trainer (CJST) and completed his certification as a Certified Electronic Career Coach (CECC).

Mike will help us learn how to effectively:

  • Search for jobs using non-traditional techniques
  • Transition a career to a new, different level
  • Negotiate salary and benefits

After Mike's presentation, you have the opportunity to work with a local SWO-STC chapter expert to fine tune your personal marketing package! Get feedback on your resume, cover letter, and portfolio. Perform a mock interview with an experienced hiring manager. Or, stick around to network with other technical communicators and ask Mike additional questions.
