President’s
Message

By the time you read this, we'll already be a week or so into 2005.
It amazes me how quickly each calendar year goes by—but I'm
even more amazed at how quickly the STC program year goes by! What
has STC-SWO accomplished since September 2004? Keep reading...
- Our free
September meeting kicked off our programs year, with 32 attendees
learning how to power network.
- In October,
close to 40 attendees gathered to learn more about the local job
market from experienced hiring managers.
- The Employment
Workshop, held on a Saturday morning in November, was a huge success
with almost 50 attendees!
- Our small
holiday gathering in December gave attendees time to catch up
with each other and network with new STC friends.
In addition,
we redesigned the web site to include more features such as bulletin
boards, we implemented an active member recognition program, and
started a user group/book review program.
All of these
services and programs are accomplished by a great bunch of hard-working
volunteers. Have you thanked a volunteer lately? Are you ready to
